Things to Do in Lansing, Iowa — August 2026

Fish Days, Saturday markets, and golden hour over the bluffs

August settles over Lansing the way it always has — long light on the bluffs, the Mississippi running low and easy past the marina, and Main Street smelling like popcorn and charcoal by the second weekend of the month. Between the Saturday farmers market, the return of Fish Days, and the first bell of the new school year, late summer here has a rhythm worth slowing down for.
